CP FIRST NATIONS WATER ADVISORIES

Neskantaga First Nation in Northern Ontario has the longest boil-water advisory in the country at 29 years and growing. Many in the community have never lived at a time when the water coming out of the taps was suitable to drink. There are long-term drinking water advisories in effect in 30 First Nations across Canada, with 20 of them in Ontario. The Canadian Press has prepared a map locating the communities. The graphic accompanies Ont-Neskantaga-Water
